Date #18–Mr. Dallin

IMG_0004I love when you realize you are on a date, but you don’t realize you’re on a date! I’m getting ready to go deep here (on 2 hours of sleep, might I add…) well, not really. But I have known Mr. Dallin for a few years now. Throughout those years I have always been impressed with Mr. Dallin and I am always excited to see him. Basically, I’ve always had a Dallin crush! He seems mutually excited to see me which makes our crush even more fun! But tonight was our first date. And I loved that I got to see a different side of Mr. Dallin. I loved that Mr. Dallin knew he was on a date and not just hanging out with a friend who needs help with a project. He treated me like a date, not a friend and it was adorable!

For all those curious minds out there…this is how

  • He complimented me while performing the prolonged elbow grab (that is big) {okay, I know an author really shouldn’t do this, but I am laughing really hard at that comment…it is true though and what girl doesn’t love the prolonged elbow grab??}
  • His questions were date questions (there’s a difference)
  • He had date eye contact…which is much different than hanging out eye contact…he seemed very interested in just me
  • He offered a little part of him…and we all know that is my favorite part…because that is the hardest part of dating…allowing yourself to be just a little vulnerable.
  • He was aware and really good at reading my facial expressions.
  • He was a gentleman…but he always is, so that really wasn’t much different.

I don’t know what happened to my Mr. Dallin, or if maybe I have just never known Dating Mr. Dallin but Wow! Mr. Dallin has hinted around about being intimidated in the past, but that didn’t show tonight. He was confident and fun and it was comfortable. Which only fuels my fire about how dumb being intimidated is! 🙂 Insert soap box

Because, really? Why wouldn't you be intimidated by this??

I might need to get to know Mr. Dating Dallin a little better! 😉

I had a really good night and it was fun to “hang out” and catch up with an amazingly adorable friend, but it was even cooler to do that while being treated like a lady…like a date! And who doesn’t want to be treated like that?? It just leaves a girl wanting for more! 😉

My Favs:

  1. Adorably genuine
  2. He knows how to treat people
  3. He works hard for what he knows is right…his priorities are in the right place
  4. F-U-N!!
  5. Wasn’t afraid to say what was on his mind.

Google LOVE Meter: 201%%%%!!! (that’s special for Mr. Dallin)

Just a candid shot! ;)

Just a candid shot! 😉

But the REAL score isn’t all that bad…93.5%

Hubba! Hubba!

OK..you are making this nearly impossible to choose just one! Seriously…I am really going to have a hard time deciding who I think your second date should be with!

Things are getting slightly more complicated!!

Crap! I’m liking this one, too! This is getting complicated. I may have to start questioning your morality 🙂

  3. Sherrie says:

You may want to just consider “dating” as your life long profession. I mean really, who finds this many good dates? Oh by the way…I did the elbow grab on Brian when I met him (Rachel’s idea) and look what happened…we got hitched!!

  4. Bryson says:

Janelle! you are so rad…I don’t know who WOULDN’T hit on you!!

I know! I know! I literally fell asleep while typing, clothes, make-up, bracelet, rings, earrings, necklace…everything on…including the spanx! 🙂 You KNOW I was tired to sleep with spanx on!! 😉 This is fun…but E-X-H-A-U-S-T-I-N-G!! Sorry to disappoint…won’t happen again!!
